Ryan Higginson is an HR operations professional and management consultant from the Boston area.

With a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration, and an expected Master of Science in Infortmation Systems, Ryan has focused his work on integrating technology and media in the workplace to improve efficiency and performance. In his current role as the Associate Director/HRIS Manager, in the Human Resources office at Suffolk University he has made it a priority to increase electronic communications and record keeping. Between 2005 and 2010, the HR Office decreased its paper consumption and storage by nearly 85%, and has utilized data reporting statics to streamline recruitment and retention processes. Recent efforts involve continued business process improvement projects, working in conjunction with top administration, to create a smooth, streamlined approach to University constituent identity and affiliation management, security compliance, and major technology upgrades to enhance training, communications, and data management initiatives, University-wide.

Prior to Suffolk, he worked with the American Repertory Theatre at Harvard University, where he worked with the Marketing team to implement online ticket sales, and significant upgrades to its Customer Relationship Management software and telephone information system, in an effort to optimize communication and build sales. Additionally, he has consulted in several different industries employing strategy in technology and new media. He currently hosts frequent social media trainings with non-profit workforce development organizations in Boston, including Operation ABLE, YMCA Training, Inc., JVS Boston, and as the business committee chair for the Greater Boston Employment Collaborative. Ryan is working with several corporate clients on social media recruitment and networking initiatives for business development. He also presents a periodic workshop, Social Media in the Workforce with area organizations, business development groups, and training initiatives, including the Colleges of the Fenway management training series, at the NCURA Region I Spring Meeting, and in other private engagements.

A resident of the South End of Boston, Ryan works with local city and state government as a liaison community organizer, and serves on several advisory boards and committee appointments.
